Ok first off I'm only 14 years of age, and I don't like the fact that people are bashing vista get a life ok sure we all know apple will never die , but don't come here saying msft u just made sure of that, why becuase thats not true becuase both operating systems have their good points and bad points I for one love macs and will probaly buy one in the near future but I will keep my pc becuase of wndows. Then there are people saying thre requirements are high well msft never said u had to use aero I have only 256 ram and I have aeros working perfect its just a matter of how well u keep your pc.

I can't belive some of you guys
Aero is not necessarily dependent on the about RAM in the PC. Its video RAM, which has to be a minimum of 64 MBs, Direct X 9 Compliant and supports the WDDM Windows Display Driver Model.
There is no need to bash Vista like you said, but at times its necessary, I personally think it brings the best out of Microsoft and I think they love it. Also, instead of saying its lousy, why take that as opportunity to make it better by submitting feedback and actually ask for help? Thats what ngs is for. Also, its BETA, Microsoft never promised RTM, they promised BETA 2 and thats what we have gotten so far and they are working on making it better.
Thanks Andrew. -- -- Andre Windows Connected | http://www.windowsconnected.com Extended64 | http://www.extended64.com Blog | http://www.extended64.com/blogs/andre http://spaces.msn.com/members/adacosta

Andrew,
The whole point of a beta is to test it and get feedback before it goes on sale, including what people do not like about it. Most of the guys posting the replies to questions on here are like me actively trying to find fault with it and fix or modify it, so when we have to install it in the real world we will look as if we know what we are doing. This is a very important part of beta testing for those of us who make a living in the PC business, we are not "bashing" it unecessarily. There is also a certain amount of misconception regarding the nature of a public beta, hence a lot of whining and wailing will inevitably be generated.

I was going to offer some uppercase letters and some periods, and
instructions about how to run spell check, but even then I don't think it would make much sense. But, if the gist of it is 'don't bash Vista', I agree. The "MS sucks, get Linux" has no place, but the attempts to get fixes for problems surely does.

That would be: "speak proper English", and sentence.
Just a friendly jab, I love oxymorons. :)

I was going to mention the standard of English myself but the OP is only 14 and obviously does not attend a school where good written English is considered desirable in pupils. It is not the fault of the OP that he is the victim of a very poor education system.
Fortunately if he keeps posting on usenet he will learn that poorly constructed written English is not generally tolerated unless the poster is obviously not a native speaker, and is therefore a very good incentive to learn or to be treated like a moron.
I noticed the OP got an apostrophe in "can't" which I found quite bizarre given the almost total lack of any other punctuation.

Oh give the OP a break. He's only 14 and still has the mentality that, "I won't need to know this when I get out of school." Part of it could be the educational system, part of it could be maturity. It will come to him one day that proper English is most definitely a requirement in this country. That is if you don't want to be stuck in a job doing manual labor. And even then it would still behoove one to know how to form proper sentences.

Yeah thanks, I usually type Sentance, sorry. I know I should not have said what I said to the guy, but was amazed at how hard it was to read. I was in a I want to get on people kind of mood which is not right, so I'm sorry.

LMAO!
It's not so much an age thing with a lot of folks but there simply tends to be a lazy attitude when it comes to electronic communication. For many it's driven by online gaming when you have to type what you need to say and fast. As well IM's and chat rooms. It's a LOT easier without punctuation, proper grammar and capitalization. Even my wife tends to not use the shift key when sending e-mails, it's just not viewed in the same light by many (like those new to electronic communication) But she would never hand write a letter like that! Heheh. I on the other hand chose to fight through that temptation and used it as and opportunity to improve my typing so that I could do it the right way and do so fast! It works and perhaps at 14 there is still time and work left to do to get there.
However, his sentiments are fairly spot on with how a good number of folks here feel.
